Why I do This
I know some time ago, I posted a mission statement to the first version of this webzine. But while a lot of that's still true, a lot has changed. And I've been putting some thought into those changes. I guess you could call it "Research." But have no fear, because it's more of what I looked into, so you don' have to. Hopefully, we'll both get something out of this brief exploration. So, if that sounds interesting, make sure you're seated comfortably, and let's get into it!
So, first off. What even is this thing? Well, my motto since day one has been, "Good stuff daily." And that's entirely what I mean to be, but on the nose, it feels a little vague. So, Voice in the Wilderness is an online magazine, where Christians can turn daily, and find uplifting articles about interesting things. Things that help your faith in some way, in five minutes or less, every day.
Next up: Who am I, and why am I doing this? Simply put, my name's Josiah. A little more complex, that means "One God healed." And while I won't get into all that, I've been a Christian for years. Recently, however, I became a Catholic. Which is important, because it's what God told me to be. You might feel called differently, and that's okay. But I hope we can still bless each other with grace, as I shine a little light in your day.
Carrying on a bit- What else is this website thing? I'm glad you asked. In addition to interesting information and blessings, there's a page full of inspirational Christian art. There are some saints, but lots of other stuff too, to make your day. And there's also a page of helpful resources, so you don't have to take my word for these things.
And lastly, what else might be coming? The short answer is, I can't be sure. None of us really know what tommorow brings. But to look a bit more optimistically? I'd like to start marketing to you publishers and makers who bring you even more good things. Maybe I'll hire more authors, to bring new insights about belief. And someday, I'd like to operate as people's second best resource as far as Christianity. But for now, I'll go where He leads.
I hope that blessed you. If so, please consider buying me a cup of coffee, to keep me going.
