Liberty or Unity?

This is carrying on from Tuesday, so feel free to go back and read No big Deal. Okay, did you enjoy that? Well, today, I'm focusing on the need to stop putting stumbling blocks before others, and dont judge stuff you don't understand. Which can be tricky for seasoned believers, so I did a bit of research.* That way, you don't have to. Now, if you're ready to unpack some truth, let's get into it!

Back in the day, they were talking about meat consecrated for idols. That's less of a thing now, but we still have grey areas, such as i.v.f., or tattoos. And by grace, we have freedom to choose! The mysteries of faith aren't one-size-fits-all. But whatever our situation calls for, we have an all sufficient God..

A lot of these are pretty well agreed on, but some churches or believers feel more strongly, with regards to speaking in tongues or pre-destiny. Entire congregations have built the bigger part of their faith on stuff others ignore. The thing to remember is, whatever we think, He's the Lord of exceedingly more.

Of course, the scripture does speak directly to these ideas, and today, you can probably find others that hold your views. And again, that's grace, letting you worship in the right way for you.

But this liberty can also divide the church. More than once, it'started wars. And, yes, while I've often said my thoughts on unity (Read A House Divided.) Jesus also prayed we'd be one. And as for scripture, Paul said, "All things are acceptable, but not beneficial." There's a time for all things. A time for fighting, and a time for peace.

I hope that blessed you. For a little more, check out voiceintha on blogspot, facebook, X, and instagram       Thanks!
