Truth Hurts

Becaise we fell in the garden, humans are broken. Which means marriages are messy. Sometimes, we're less than perfect, which is a painful truth. But God's word tells us how to get through, and I did the research,* so y'all don't have to. So if you' like some advice as to what ya oughta do, then let's get straight into it!

Marriage is a gift from God. On top of the spousal embrace, when two walk together, they strengthen and help each other. Of course, it's God's design that life comes from love, just like in creation. But the blessings of being brought together are way more than pure procreation.

That said, singleness is just as valid! Where it persists, there's also a unique opportunity to be wholly devoted to ministry. Because spouses give everything for each other, those unwed can give that much more for the glory of God. And that can seem a bit much, but we were made to covenant. And there's nobody better to bind yourself to than the Author and Perfecter of life and truth. Not to mention, Christian spouses ought give themselves to God too.

Next up, true love is defined as sacrifice. Not sweeping gestures and charming princes. That's Hollywood. No greater love has anyone than to die for another. By that logic, each partner ought to recognize the needs of the other, and prioritize those before their own.

Lastly, remember, we're all broken. So we mess up all kinds of things by our own strength. It's the grace of God that gives what people need. Even our ultimate wedding to our bridegroom King was a bit tricky. At one point, we killed Him. So just remember, He's the only way to perfection.

I hope that blessed you. For a little more, check out voiceintha on blogspot, facebook, X, and instagram       Thanks!
