Togetherness
We've all spent time choosing what churches we join. What we like, ways we're comfortable. But there's one gospel, and one body. So, it almost goes without saying, just how essential church unity is. I've found examples explaining this idea in 1 Corinthians, which I researched so you don't have to. So, as a group, let's get into it!
First off, the church is a spiritual family. They might be made up of blood families, or you might be your only family member who attends. But God has put His Spirit into each one who believes on Him. So it just makes sense that we get along. Very different people, but the same heart. And one Kingdom, the same way here on Earth as up in Heaven.
Also, focusing on differences destroys relationships, which seems unavoidable, but has this sneaky way of destroying the churchas a whole. For example: If an ear decided the liver was pointless and kicked it out, that person wouldn't live long. But we all have important, unique functions. Which is why it takes every seperate part giving 100% to keep the entire unit functioning.
Building off of these concepts, it's obvious that we need to work together, so that any of us gets a chance to contribute. Some might follow Dave, others, Bruce. But some prefer holding communion, while others like speaming in tongues. But if they worked together, they could share the body of Christ with everybody! Because, whatever else we need or bring, the important thing is that Jesus is King.
The basis for these points were found in 1 Corinthians 1:1-17.
I hope that blessed you. For a little more, check out voiceintha on blogspot, facebook, X, and instagram Thanks!
