Three Short Stories

My pastor ventured once to Trinidad, and  applied for Trinidad a second time. But instead, he was was sent to Equitos, Peru. He was shoked by the poverty, and a bit by the disparity in socal levels. And I've collected some of his experiences,  so you won't have to. These are only a few, but if you feel called, let's get into it!

When the group first arrived, a woman asked why they came. When they explained, she started hitting herself, which perplexed them. It came out that she had attended the church where they taught for years, but stopped for fear of her husband. She asked if she could join, and they realied by her testimony that God had sent them

The only fellow English speaker (besides the interpreter, Louis) Was a fellow Baptist Pastor, named Chris, in a largely Pentacostal community. Like everyone else, he was limited in accessing resources, but was self-taught over 10 years. So as such, he was in high demand to translate. Which again, shows God's hand, by way of Chris' close cooperation.

The owner of their hotel also spoke very little English. They had few conveniences, including only cold water. But she understood the group's purpose, and so appreciated her guests, they found her streaming Hillsong, playing popular worship music. Which, again showed her support, and God's blessing on them.

He said that, had he gone as a tourist, he'd have been disapointed. But as it was, he was amazed by the people's attitude, and the grace of the Father. Stuff we all oughta remember.

I hope that blessed you. For a little more, check out voiceintha on blogspot, facebook, X, and instagram       Thanks!
