Thicker Than Water

Blood is kinda gross, but also, super important! Not only because it keeps us from being dead, but it's also a symbol of several things. And our culture gets most of those ideas from the Bible. But in case you never looked at that, I did a bit of research, so that you don't have to. It's fascinating stuff. So, if I've made you a little curious, let's get into it!

So,  Leviticus 7:11 says "In the blood is the Life." Which we now know is very true. But it's both very important for survival, as I said, it's an important symbol. And that itself shows the fingerprints of God, because eveything He does involves layers of meaning. As Isaiah talked about, precept upon precept. And while the life is going to resurface, I'll now explore some more.

Because it's essential to life, a person's strength is in their blood. That's why Vampires feed on it, and why voodoo claimed that drinking would give you that strength.  It's not a new idea, which is why the Bible prohibits such behavior. Not to mention the loads of h health problems that brings.

Which is why knowingly giving someone else your blood feels like submission. And why we feel like heroes for donating, because we're giving our strength. The thing is, that's what God did. He gave us a little of His infinite strength, and eternal life. And on some level, humanity remembers. And that's why Blood is such an important symbol.

Kinda heavy, right? Still, it's really interesting stuff. And maybe, it'll help you to know about. Anyway, I enjoyed it. And I hope you did to. If so,stay turned! And I'll see if I can't keep uncovering more intriguing stuff like this.

I hope that blessed you. If so, please consider buying a subscription.
