Signs of the Times

In several scriptues, we find signs of end times. But in Luke 21, Jesus gives relevant pointers, that we can see happening now, not someday later. And I've researched a few of these, which means you don't have to. Still, if I've tickled your curiosity, let's get into it!

At some point, every human accomplishment is gonna pass. Which is why we should focus instead on those things that will never fade. Or, more specifically, on the gifts of God, like grace, that stand for eternity.

History has taught us that life is crazy. Some would say chaotic. And many try to offer wisdom and seek control. All the more reason to hold fast with He who offers everlasting truth and life.

This is recorded in Matthew 29, but He also predicted wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes and famines. But while these are troubling, they're ever present. So instead of giving specific omens, Christ again intends that, in all situations and seadons, we should be ever mindful. Like that parable of the bridesmaids preparing lamps in Matthew 25, He gives us hope, and assurances that He's returning soon. But more than getting caught up in when exactly that might be, instead we're supposed to constantly ready and waiting.

I hope that blessed you. If so, please consider buying me a cup of coffee, to keep me going.
