Perfect Providence

While I had a rough idea, I didn't really know what I'd write today until halfway through Sunday. But then, isn't that just how it goes? We say we believe God provides, but until He actually does, it's just talk. We need testimonies or examples to really build our faith. I guess it's human nature. But, in any case, this past frozen weekend has shown me a handful of exactly that kind of testimony. Maybe I just needed a refresher. And if you feel like you could too, then get ready folks. And let's get into it!

First off. Prepping for Tuesday. While the phrase is a little joke from Star Trek (Not a Sponsor!) the philosophy is that Tuesday will always happen eventually. So, be prepared. Nothing drastic like a bomb shelter. Just little things like flashlights. And after the Snowpocalypse of 2019, my family started preparing for something just like this. And while God blessed and the power stayed on, having stuff on hand, just in case. It made dealing with the madness a little less stressful .

Next, healthcare. I mean, unlike 2023, my family is in pretty good shape. But as you can imagine, it hasn't always been that way. Which is why the week before the storm everybody scheduled hospital visits to make sure they stay o-k. Except, our family doctor just retired without telling anyone. Yikes. But my Mom had a check up with a stand in, and got a rave review of her condition. And my Dad's appointment was rescheduled. That is postponed until everything warms up. Still, like I opened with, everybody is doing really well all the same.

And finally, this very article. I knew I wanted to explore doctine. When this storm was announced last Monday, I figured it would probably show me something. But as I said, until I actually see Him, those beliefs are just ideas. I combined that with faith, but I had no clue what He'd really do. As you can see, The Lord is using the storm to do great and powerful things. And so, let events like this be a reminder, and teach coming generations. God still does miracles. Simply believe.

I hope that blessed you. If so, please consider buying me a cup of coffee, to keep me going.

      Thanks!
