Mind-Blown!

When's the last time you really thought about Amazing Grace? And yes, while that song is my jam (Check out the African original.) I mean just how amazing grace really is. It's kinda staggering when you actually consider what it is, and what that means. Too often, we say things like "Good God!" or "Jesus loves you." Until they lose all meaning. But as it happens, I've been researcing this stuff, so you don't have to go that far. Not unlike Ephesians 3:18. But without further ado, if you're ready to be amazed, let's get into it!

Firstly, you exist. And that's incredible! Imagine everything that happened since "Let there be light." that led to you. And not just a person. You, with your personal relationship history, your skills and interests, your aches and pains, your favorite color. He set everything up so that you not only could happen, but did happen. You,specifically. And He loves you.

Not only that, but as various versions of creed say, He created everything for us men (mankind) and for our good. Just take the first bit first. We're still discovering stuff left and right, but we've agreed for thousands of years, that God made all of it, visible and invisible. And if we take the second bit along with that last paragraph, He made it all to form and bless you. Woah.

And finally, I'm gonna bring up one of my favorite topics again: The Covenant. See, it's very different from just an agreement or a contract. It's a commitment, classicly sealed with blood. It means, quite literally that both parties give the other everything they have, forever. And God is really into those. Just in the Bible, there are at least three on record. But it's pretty intense, so humans tend to misunderstand the arrangement.

Which is why the Alpha and Omega, the maker and orchestrator of everything, came down for a visit. He made Himself human. And then tried really hard to explain things for years. Ironically, we still didn't get it, and while some tried, others killed Him. For a few days. He's still God, after all. But the thing is, doing that allowed for the ultimate covenant. So, if you'll dedicate your life to Him, He wants to give Himself (Maker of the universe.) to you. And that's what amazing grace means.

I hope that blessed you. If so, please consider buying me a cup of coffee, to keep me going.
