It's all Your Fault!

We've all said something like this, at some point. But no matter how true it is, these statements can really hurt the other person. In fact,it can be so bad, it actually becomes a sin! Don't believe it? That's okay. I did the research, so you don't have to. It actually goes all the way back to the beginning, in Genesis. But more on that later. For the moment, whadya say? Let's get into it!

The Catholics call it "Detraction."* And it's as bad as murder. But if that's hard to remember, just call it grousing or harping on someone. And yes Jesus says it's like murder. In Matthew, "Whoever says to his brother... You Fool shall be worthy of Hell."** So, it's gotta be pretty bad.

Remember how I talked about it going back to Genesis? Well, in the garden, after they both ate the apple, Adam was like, "But she made it look like a good idea!"*** Even though he was totally guilty. But there were consequences back then, and there still are. Imagine a Christmas party. Now, you've been complaining about your partner to your co-workers a lot. So when they finally meet, you hear, "Oh, hey. We've heard all about YOU." And the thing is, you exaggerated. So now, your partner is angry, and your co-workers think less of you.

But it's only human, right? If it's that bad, what's a person supposed to do? Well, the apostle Paul says, "Wives, be subject to your husbands... And husbands, love your wives like Jesus loved the church."**** Now, subject back then was like a citizen. They still have freedoms, and rights, and property. But they also obey the King or Baron or husband, because such rulers are supposed to protect and provide. And husbands are supposed to do those things, but also lead and guide and be willing to die for their wives. But this kinda behavior happens elsewhere too. Complaining about your boss, or your teacher, or your neighbor is just as bad. Whatever it is, the trick is to live in a way where there's nothing for others to say. And also, try not to complain.

I hope that blessed you. For a little more, check out voiceintha on blogspot, facebook, X, and instagram       Thanks!
