Grace on Display
As Chtistians, we talk a lot about grace. We say grace, we sing Amazing Grace, we hear it every day. But what does it really mean? And can we actually see it?Well, I've been researching it, so none of y'all have to. It might be kind of unusual, but it's all entirely true. Anywho, without further ado, let's get into it!
Maybe the most obvious way He shows us grace is the way He answers our prayers, constantly. The word means stuff you don't deserve. And beyond the fact He made everything, He often responds to prayers made in good faith. (Luke 18:1-8.) There are times He doesn't answer. And there are various theories as to why. But Jesus told this parable to show that we have to believe, continually. And while His grace isnt always what we want., or even very big, it's always what we need.
Additionally, but maybe harder to see, is the way He forgives our sins. (Luke 18:9-14.) The story of the Pharsee and the tax collector shows that God listens to every prayer, and shows grace to all. But just like human parents prefer when children are honest about breaking dishes, our heavenly Father listens close when we admit our failures.
And ultimately, He shows grace regardless. (Luke 18:9-14)Just like That rich ruler couldn't buy Heaven, grace means, your Father loves anyone who comes to Him. Young or old, rich or poor, no matter what. Again, grace is stuff you don't deserve. So, nobody can not deserve it more than somebody else. That's a double negative. But it's impossible to merit grace. Rather, just be amazed, and then give praise.
I hope that blessed you. If so, please consider buying me a cup of coffee, to keep me going.
