Filled with Glory

Angels talks about this in their Songs* And on the face of it, that feels obvious. But it's good to step back and think over that. Particularly,  how much is reflected in His Passion. So I did some research, which means you won't have to.  And if you're willing to consider His splendor, let's get into it!

Every night, we lose the light. Not all of it, obviously. Because we were created to see. But the way that repeats shows us and reminds us of God's mercy. In the Passion,  there was an eclipse at noon, darkness like the world's never seen. But figuratively, we were lost in the dark, doing our own thing.  And when the Son rose, we were redeemed. A glorious thing.

The wine sponge** illustrated the fullness of desolation, from which we were set free.  Of course,  even Paul talks about wine being used medicinally. But the way our savior was so broken He needed such a thing,  and the way the sponge was soaked completely, points to our depravity. And increases the wonders of His mercy.

And another thing! Our God is a God of impossibility.  Every leaf that sprouts on a tree. Every time a human heart beats, random chance can't explain these things. Kind of like the way it's physically impossible for that veil in the temple to split, so precisely. Top to bottom, seam to seam. I mean, it's layers on layers of leather and linen and embroidery. But it was split in half, spontaneously.  Once again meaning,  we've been set free.

And the earthquake*** shows GOD'S authority. As Nahum said, " The mountains quake before HIM." Anybody from California, or Okinawa, could tell you some stories. But very few (Really, none.) of these earthquakes care how folks are doing, emotionally.  Yet when the one, all powerful,  fully sovereign King lost His only begotten  Son, well buddy,  that made history. And reminds all of us who's running things.

I hope that blessed you. For a little more, check out voiceintha on blogspot, facebook, X, and instagram       Thanks!
