Difficult Gifts
You probably looked at that thinking,"Those two don't go together." But they kind of do. And they definitely should. To prove that, I've researched some things, so you won't have to. As per usual, its another unexpected form of truth. Hidden facts, with good to do. So if that's interesting to you, lets get into it!
First off, I wanna be clear about what I'm saying. Suffering is real, and should be avoided. Also, not everything difficult is good. But in the 20th century, machines that make stuff easy really make life harder for a lot of people.*But struggle makes us think, and grow, and do hard things. Likewise, pain is the body's way of saying, "Hey, stop it!" So both of those can be gifts.
But take fast food, for instance. Now, I won't lie, I got a thing for drive-thru Fried Chicken. Like, when it's hot, and greasy, and has Ranch dressing. I bet we all have something like that. But I've eaten it twice this whole year. The problem happens when fast food is so easy, that's all you do. See. over 40 million Americans are living with diabetes.$ And a few are born that way. But being able to get food without a struggle, and the fact that obesity doesn't hurt is killing people. Because we've lost both the gift of getting better by struggling, and avoiding things that hurt.
Next, I'm talking about Computers. They're not all bad. We're both on computers right now. But the problem here is when people give up Organic Intelligence for Artificial substitutes. Kind of like when you get a cheat sheet, and don't actually learn from the assignment? People have stopped thinking about hard stuff, because A.I. can do that. In the worst cases, Sophie Rottenberg** (among others) commited suicide, because they took advice from chat-bots.
Whew, that got a bit dark. Sorry folks. But the last struggle I wanna point to is faith. Because, it's not easy. The easy thing was eating the Apple.*** Or whatever thing that old Devil tells you is better than what you know you're supposed to choose. But God gave us Jesus, the way, the life, and the truth.**** And the Holy Spirit will show us the right stuff to do. With Him, we'll make it through. Pus, I'm right here too.
I hope that blessed you. For a little more, check out voiceintha on blogspot, facebook, X, and instagram Thanks!
