Brutal Grace

It might sound like an impossible thing. But sometimes, to get our attention, God the Father gets intense. And if you don't believe it, I researched some instances, so you don't have to. It might surprise you, the lengths He'll go to. But if you wanna find out, let's just get into it!

Way back when Abraham left the Chaldees*, he went by Egypt. And because of the lie about Sara, there came a plague of infirtility on Egypt. A blight on the land, all about sex and lust, thanks to that family, long before Moses.

When Moses finally comes on the scene,** Phaoroh was god king. At least in his opinion. Starting with a holocaust of baby boys, he starts... Upsetting the real God. This, of course, led to the plagues everybody knows. The Egyptians worshipped things like house flys, frogs and the sun. And God turmed every one of those into plagues.

Noah's flood came first.*** Then Abraham and Sara, and then 10 the Jews were told to remember. But the way God does them, He always moves symbollicaly, So that we can see His message. Somehow, it's always culturaly relevant. And if we pay attention, we'll see how to repent.

And it's kind of amazing, the brutal ways He chooses to show grace. Without showing anybody favor (Class, Creed, etc.) Instead, while it might not seem like it, He's always patient. He clearly made us, but we drive Him, at least figuratively, crazy. But once again, and undezerved still, He is infinite, as is His mercy.

I hope that blessed you. For a little more, check out voiceintha on blogspot, facebook, X, and instagram       Thanks!
