Answer the Call
This has been on my heart for years, since I learned of Jeremiah's "Here am I." Recently, I've heard messages about the importance of obedience. But I gleaned what follows from a message on how to know if you'e doing that. It was both inspiring and informative. And I feel like it might bless you So, without beating around the proverbial bush, let's get into it!
The twelve began as disciples. But Christ gave the sermon on a mountain outcrop. A sheltered, level place. There, He laid out His manifesto in a safely removed place. Sharing a game plan for the events, works, and wonders to come. And He does the same for us, giving seasons of comfort just before sending us on mission. I had years of rest and srengthening, followed by fellowship and joy, before being put to work.
First, to discern this, can you notice some particular, tangible blessing? Scripture talks about the way those who give much are giveb much. So generous heath, weath, or prosperity would suggest that you're on the right track. And that means He can do great things with you, which will lead to more blessing as you bless the Lord.
On the other hand, do you feel neglected? Like your prayers just go ignored? Well, in those cases, step back. Take some time to consider that you may need to change to align yourself with the divine game plan You may be doing everything right, like Job. But He's eternal, and all knowing. So, He knows what's best for you. So sometimes, He'll test you. "And yet for all this, His arm is outstretched still." God blesses those who bless Him. Will you follow Him?
I hope that blessed you. If so, please consider buying me a cup of coffee, to keep me going.
